The Miracle on the Hudson Challenge Coin is a commemorative token that honors the incredible and life-saving event that took place on January 15, 2009, when US Airways Flight 1549 made an emergency landing on the Hudson River in New York City after both engines failed. This heroic event, later dubbed the “Miracle on the Hudson,” became a symbol of human resilience, teamwork, and quick thinking. The successful emergency landing saved the lives of all 155 passengers and crew on board, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger and First Officer Jeffrey Skiles.
