The NYPD Building Maintenance Section Challenge Coin is a commemorative piece honoring the dedicated personnel who work in the NYPD Building Maintenance Section (BMS), a crucial unit within the New York City Police Department (NYPD). While the officers of the NYPD often receive the lion’s share of attention for their frontline work in law enforcement, the BMS team plays an essential role in ensuring that the department’s facilities are operational, well-maintained, and safe for the officers and civilians who rely on them.
